Will of John ap Rice 1570

In the name of God Amen. May the One and twentieth in the yeare of Our Lord 1670. I John ap Rice of Scotchborough in the p[ar]ish of Tenby in the County of Pembroke gent doe make and ordayne this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following. Imprimis I bequeath my soule unto Almighty God, in hope of a Blessed Resurrestion through the merits of my Redeemer Christ Jesus, and my body to be decently interred in Christian Burriall. Item. I doe devise give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth in Consideracon of her great Love & tender care of mee as well found(?) as since the tyme of my sickness, in lieu of a Joynture, as also to inable her to make Obligasion (according to this my will) for my younger children All that Tenement of Land & Mansion house with its appurenances called & known by the name of Scotchborough in the p[ar]ish of Tenby in the County of Pembrooke for and during the timme of her n[atu]rall life And afterall that One other Tenement of Land called and knowne by the name of Cornishdown And all those two Mills knowne by the name of Cams Mills. All which premises are situate lying and being in the p[ar]ish of Tenby afores[ai]d in the County of Pembrooke afores[ai]d, and I doe by this p[re]sent Will Give, Grant and devise all the afore recited p[re]mises together with all Rents, yssues & p[ro]ffitts arising out of the sayd Tenements & every & either of them unto my sayd wife Elizabeth for the term of her natureall life and after her decease unto James ap Rice my son & heire apparent, and to the heires male of his body lawfully to be begotten and for want of such yssue unto the next heire male of my body lawfully begotten and to the heires male of the ap Rices forever. Item I doe Give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth the sume of One hundred pounds of good & lawfull English money to be payd unto her (by my Executrix) when shee shall attain the age of one and twenty. Item I doe Give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne the sume of One hundred pounds of Good and Lawfull money of England to be payd unto her (by my Executrix) when shee shall attain the Age of One and twenty. Item I doe give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary the sume of One hundred pounds of Lawfull money of England to be payd by my Executrix unto her when shee shall attain the age of One and twenty. Item I give and bequeath unto my youngest sonne John the sume of One hundred pounds of Lawfull money of England to be payd by my executrix unto him when he shall attain the age of One and twenty. Item I doe by this my last Will & Testament constitute nominate and appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth ap Rice to be my whole and sole Executrix of all and singular my Goods cattells and chattells moveable and imoveable to be by her disposed of to her best advantage for the raysing of the above specified Legacies & payment of my Debts, and for the Educacon & maintenance of my children until they come of age. Item I doe enjoyne my sayd Executrix to make a provision of twenty pounds of Lawfull money of England yearily to be payd unto my eldest son James ap Rice after he attain the age of One and twenty in case of that his Aunt Ann Lewis widdow decease not before that tyme but in case of his decease the said injunction to be voyd then, or att any tyme afterwards. And in Ritaliacon thereof I enjoyne my sayd sonne James ap Rice to a brotherlike affection and filliall obedience to his mother when his sayd Aunt deceaseth, and his Estate comes unto him to assist his mother, in the advancement of the legacies for his sisters and Brother. In witnesse that this is my last Will& Testament & that I Revoke all former Wills I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare before specified (vidzt) the one and twentieth day of May in the yeare of our Lord 1670.
