About John de Lancaster, the Royalist
John was a Royalist, born 1565 died 1649, and as such suffered the confiscation of his property by the Parliament, he did not seem to have been charged with the equally serious offense of recusancy. [James VI King of Scots, James I King of England & Ireland] was the monarch and his son Charles I, King of England, Scotland, and Ireland Being charged and being convicted by Parliament, death sentence, hanging.
Royalist Composition Papers (Rec. Soc. Lancs. and Ches.), iv, 53. It appears that Rainhill Hall and other lands of John Lancaster had been sold in 1653 to John Sumner, the purchaser of Allerton. Biography
John de Lancaster, the Royalist was born in 1565 in Rainhill, Lancashire. His parents were Thomas de Lancaster of Rainhill I and Margaret de Lancaster (Laton).
John married Isabell Lancaster Unknown. Together they had the following children:

Elizabeth Lancaster;
Samuel Lancaster;
John Gowan Lancaster;
Gawen Lancaster.
He died in 1649 from hanging, execution -Tried and Convicted by Parliament.
