About John van Beuren of Staten Island

John was a merchant in New York City and after his death his widow with her family removed in 1836 to Zanesville, Ohio.

"John Van Beuren, a merchant in New York City. He resided in the old Beaver Street mansion,owned by his father-in-law. He died at Staten Island, N. Y."

John may have been a principal in the firm Schoonmaker, Van Beuren & Company at 91 Front St. {I suggest this as his sister married a Schoonmaker}
