Joseph2 Case, John1 Casse) was born in Hampton, Rockingham, NH about 1698. Jonathan died 17 Sep 1745 in Kensington, Rockingham, NH, at 47 years of age. He married Tabitha Ring in Salisbury, Essex, MA, 10 Apr 1724. Tabitha was born in Amesbury, Essex, MA. Tabitha is probably a granddaughter of John, a carpenter who settled in Salisbury, MA in 1638, or of Robert, a brother of John, one of Salisbury's first settlers. Jonathan died of illness contracted during the Louisbourg campaign against the French. Payment of his medical bills and a bonus to his wife were granted by the House of NH.
