Jonathan Stiles

Jonathan Stiles, of Southbury, Connecticut, was born 1800; married about 1832 with NANCY ABIA BALDWIN, dau. of Theophilus Baldwin and Esther Pardee. She was born Dec. 18, 1808 in Middlebury, Connecticut. He died Mar. 5, 1882; she died Jan. 27, 1898. Both buried at White Oak Cemetery, Southbury, New Haven Co., Connecticut.

Children were: Ransom B. (1836; m. Anna Stillman, of Bridgeport, Conn., and in 1874, residing there. He has a furniture store.), Walter (1848., in 1874 unm, living in Bridgeport), and Frank? (1848).

• 1831 marriage record: Jonathan Stiles m. Nancy Baldwin on 12/10/1831 in Conn.
• 1850 census: Jonathan Stiles (50, b Ct) and wife Nancy A. Stiles (42, b Ct); in Southbury, Conn. w ch. Ransom (14, b Ct) and Frank (2, b Ct). Jonathan is a farmer.
• 1870 census: Jonathan Stiles (69, b Ct) and wife Nancy A. Stiles (62, b Ct); in Southbury, Conn. w son Walter M. (22, b Ct). Jonathan is a farmer; Walter is a farm laborer.

Note: I have had no luck in finding birth record for son Frank; could he and Walter M. be one and the same?
