About José Bengzón
José Bengzón was a Filipino lawyer and politician. He represented the first district of Pangasinan at the House of Representatives of the Philippines from June 11, 1945 to May 25, 1946. He later served as Secretary of Justice from August 29, 1950 to September 23, 1951. He then served as the 15th Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeals of the Philippines from May 24, 1962 to September 12, 1964; and then the 76th Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines from September 12, 1964 to May 5, 1968. He finally represented Region IV at the Interim Batasang Pambansa from June 12, 1978 to June 5, 1984.
