About José Ozámiz
Jose was the first governor of Misamis Occidental, the congressional representative of Misamis Occidental, and senator of Misamis Occidental. He was beheaded in Manila by Japanese forces during World War II. The city of Misamis was renamed to Ozamiz, in his honor.
