One source has his birthdate as 18 Nov 1637 in Plymouth, but no proof ofthis date exists. Good sourceof information is "The Great MigrationBegins" by Robert Charles Anderson, vol 1, page 599-603 (John Dunham).
Joseph Dunham was born about 1631 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Dunham (1907) gives his birth date as 18 November 1637, but I cannot find where he found this date.1,2 He was the son of Deacon John Dunham and Abigail Balliou.3,2. His estate was probated on 16 June 1703 in Plymouth County, Massachusetts
Alternate birth date: Nov. 18, 1637.
Admitted a Freeman on June 1, 1658. On June 7, 1665 granted 30 acres at Major's Purchase (Middleboro, MA.). He had 8 children between his two wives. Joseph was among those dismissed from the Plymouth Church to the new Plympton Church due to boundary line changes.

- Aug. 20, 1669, Hester Wormall, of Rowley, daughter of Joseph Rowley, who lived in Rowley, where the first child was born in 1642. In 1649 she moved to Boston and later to Scituate.
Records
Jonathan Dunham, brother of Joseph, deeded to him for twenty-five pounds land near that bought of Churchill, which his father John had owned. This was sold to Joseph on June 3, 1780. (sic)
Joseph made his will March, 1703, and left one-third of rents and household goods to Esther, his wife. He died at Plymouth. His will was probated June 16, 1703. He bequeathed to children and wife.
