Joseph Jordan was born in 1727. He was the son of Joseph Jordan and Mary Ricks.
He married Penolope Pendleton on 2 Apr 1747 at the Symons Creek Monthly Meeting in Pasquotank, North Carolina.
He was a schoolmaster.
He passed away in 1760 according to the Quakers method of registering the date or 1761 according to the present day method of registering the date: He wrote his will saying: "this 20th day of the 12 month called December Anno Domini 1761" Pasquotank County, Province of North Carolina. His will was registered 10 April 1762.
