The Joseph Sexton who married Phoebe Campbell was a son of Charles and Sarah Jameson Sexton of New Jersey and a descendant of George and Katherine's.

Note - Twin to Mabel.

Settled in Wythe County, Virginia in the 1770's. He made coaches and wagons for the immense travel done over the King's Highway that came from New England through Princeton to the South. Most Sexton men were 6ft. tall.

• January 4, 1729 at Huntington, Suffolk County, New York
• January 4, 1729 at Long Island City (now part of Queens borough of City of New York), Queens County, New York
• January 4, 1730 in Queens County, New York

Date and place of marriage to Mary have also been erroneously reported to be February 4, 1754 at Oyster Bay, Lakemoor, Lake County, Illinois (which was not yet organized at that time. (Maybe place of marriage was meant to be Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York?)

Date and place of death have also been (erroneously?) reported to be October 9, 1829 in Wythe County, Virginia, United States.
