Joseph Tanner

Joseph Tanner died prior to 1677; he married Mary (born about 1639; died about 1700) whose surname is now unknown. She married secondly, Gilbert Platt of Henrico. The will of Joseph Tanner bore date Xber 7, 1668. The will of Mrs. Mary Platt, dated March 18, 1699, was proved in Henrico Court February 1, 1700.

Disputed Origins

“Many genealogists agree that this Abraham Tanner was father of Joseph Tanner. I've been digging around looking for good sources. So far all I have found is from Ancestry.com that says one Abraham Tanner was on a passenger immigrant list among other lists 1500 - 1900.”
