Joseph WARD was born c1780 Worcestershire, UK
Joseph married Eleanor TAYLOR on 17/1/1799 in Scotland and they had the following children
- Ann 1799
Joseph was convicted and sentenced to transportation for life. He arrived in Sydney Cove in 1802 on "Coromandel". His wife and child remained behind.
Joseph had a relationship/marriage to Isabella BARNES and they had the following children
- Joseph "Cooma Joe" 1812
Joseph married Ann UREN on 12/6/1813 at Parramatta and they had the following children
- Mary Ann 1809
- Eliza 1814
In February 1823 Joseph left the colony and returned to England to his first wife and daughter.
In July 1824 Joseph returned to Australia on "Prince Regent", bringing with him his first wife and daughter Ann. On the voyage back to Australia, Joseph "sold" his daughter to an American sea captain.
Joseph had to provide for his "wife" Ann UREN and children or would be charged with bigamy.
In March 1828 Joseph and his first wife returned to England on "Orelia"
