Married Martha Cook, birth and marriage recorded in Swansey, MA. He was a sea captain, and resided in Dighton, formerly part of Taunton, MA, but was removed to Putney, Windham County, VT and settled on a farm on the south range of Putney. He afterward bought land adjoining in Dummerston, hence his farm was in both towns.
