Mrs. Hamblin was born Josephine J. Milne on December 29, 1884, the daughter of David and Ann Jarvis Milne of St. George. Mr. Hamblin was born March 8, 1885, in Gunlock, Washington County, Utah, to Mr. and Mrs. Obed Edwin and Margaret Adair Hamblin. The two were married on June 12, 1907, in the St. George LDS Temple. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad for 20 years and later worked wit crews in determining the proper site for the Hoover (Boulder) Dam to be built.
