CAPTAIN JOSHUA LOBDELL, b. in Milford, Connecticut, 16th March, 1703; he was Captain of the 7th Company of Militia in the Upper Battalion Westchester County, New York, and served in the French and Indian wars, 1755-1760; m. Mary REYNOLDS, dau. of Joseph REYNOLDS of Ridgefield, Connecticut; moved from Milford to Ridgefield, Connecticut, and from there about 1730 to Cortland Manor, Westchester County, New York.
