Marriage: 15 FEB 1704/5 Joanna Studley. Joanna was b. c. 1686; d; before her husband since she is not named in his will.

Death: 29 MAY 1767 Duxbury, Plymouth, Massachusetts. His will was written 8 May 1767; proved 20 Oct 1767. In it he names sons Ezekiel, Joseph and Nathan Soule; grandson Samuel Soule; daughter Zurviah Samson wife of Ebenezer; daugther Abigail wife of Perez Drew; grandaughter Lidia Simmons wife of Jedediah.

Joshua was a shipbuilder and trader. He acquired land in North Yarmouth Maine in 1734, and in 1744 he gave land to son, Ezekiel (a coaster). Joshua was listed as a Yeoman, both were from Duxborough
