Biography

Rebecca Soule was born about 1657 (based on age at death) in Duxbury, Massachusetts, daughter of John Soule and Rebecca (Simmons) Soule.[1][2] Her father, John Soule, gave land to his sons, during his lifetime, but gave daughter Sarah one cow and nothing to his other daughters. The court distributed his small remaining estate among his daughters or their heirs. The settlement was signed 6 Mar 1707/8 by Adam Wright on behalf of his children by his wife Sarah, deceased; Rebecka Weston; and John and Rachel Cobb.[3]

"Edmon Weston" married "Rebekah Soul" on 13 Dec. 1688, in Plymouth.[1][4][5][6] He was the son of Edmund Weston and his wife.[1]

They lived in the part of Plymouth that became Plympton in 1707.

Edmund died intestate in 1727. The distribution of his estate named widow Rebeckah Weston of Plympton and children of Edmund: Nathan Weston, Zachariah Weston, John Weston, Edmund Weston and Benjamin Weston all of Plympton; Thomas Darling of Middleboro and Rebeckah his wife.[1][7][8]

Rebekah Weston, wife of Edmund, daughter of John Soule, died Nov. 18, 1732, in her 76th year, in Plympton, Plymouth, Massachusetts, New England.[1][9]
