Sergeant Josiah Perkins served with Massachusetts Line during the American Revolution.
Josiah Perkins, son of Josiah Perkins and Deborah Bennett, brother of Joshua and Luke Perkins, and husband Deborah Soule,[1] was born 4 Apr 1732 in Plympton, Massachusetts.[2]
Josiah is recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution as having served his country in the Revolutionary War under Capts. Thomas Samson and David Allen; and in the artillery under Cols. Theophilus Cotton, and John Crane.[2]
Josiah married Deborah Soule[2] on 26 Apr 1753 in Plympton, Massachusetts and they had the following children:[citation needed]

Ebenezer;
Joseph.
Josiah married second to Mary Ann Unknown.[2]
He resided in Plympton, Massachusetts,[2] removing to Bridgewater, Massachusetts about 1790 and later removed to Oxford, Maine.
Josiah died 14 Mar 1811 in Hebron, Oxford County, Maine.[2]
