Josua (Schaja) Schreiber

When he married his first wife Victoria on 26 Jan 1787, he is listed as "Schia Arron, age 18". The marriage record calls her "Elka", and gives her age as 20. Witnesses were his father, Arron Schreiber, and one "Simon Jacob" who may have been her father. Elka is called "Viktoria" in the birth record of her son, Iszak (13 Mar 1788), and "Victoria Schreiber, age 21," when she died 17 days later, on 30 Mar 1788.

Often seen as "Josua Schreiber", he married 2nd, Gitel [maiden name not determined] (1766-1832). He witnessed numerous birth and marriage records in Prossnitz over the next many years. He died in household #23, 24 Nov 1831, in his 64th year of age. His second wife, Gitel, died five months later, on 9 Apr 1832, age 66.
