Juanita “Meme” Belfield, 76, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Fellowship Church Main Campus Student Ministry Center with Pastor Kyle Wilkinson of Trinity Fellowship officiating and Pat Shupe assisting. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.

Juanita “Meme” Belfield was born Jan. 22, 1938, to L.R. and Virda Chew. She married William “Bill” Belfield on July 10, 1959.

Juanita worked as an licensed vocational nurse at St. Anthony’s for several years before retiring.

She was a loving wife, mother, Meme and sister in addition to being a best friend and mom to many. She loved the Lord and was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Juanita will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Melba Shupe.

Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” Belfield of Amarillo; a son, Gene Belfield of Claude; her daughters, Sherry Brofft, Sheila Devenney and Shawna Belfield, all of Amarillo; her brothers, Elvin “Son” Chew of Abilene, George Chew of Bronte and Johnny Chew of Alvarado; a sister, Helen Parker of Bronte; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren

The family suggests memorials be to Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation, 1600 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
