Obituary - Winona Herald (April 21, 1957): Mrs. Julia Cieminski, 80, 311 Chatfield Street, died Sunday at 3:35 p.m. at Winona General Hospital following a brief illness. Born December 23, 1876 in Warsaw, Poland, Mrs. Cieminski came to Winona 73 years ago. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lubinski. Her husband, Joseph Cieminski, died in 1948. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She is survived by six sons, Harry, William, Edmund, John, and Ralph, Winona; and Joseph, Milwaukee; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Gertrude) Siefken, Redding, California; and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Holmay and Mrs. Clarence (Grace) McElmury, Winona; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two children, five brothers, and two sisters are dead. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at Watkowski Funeral Home and at 9:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. N. F. Grulkowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
