About Julia Elizabeth Mckee
BRIGHTON - Julia E. "Betty" Fessler 77, died at 1:35 p.m. Saturday, March 15,1997. at Robings Manor in Brighton. Born Dec. 31,1919, in Alton, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur A. and Loretta (Lawless) McKee. She was an avid gardener, painter and wood carver. On March 14,1940, she married Harold E. Fessler. He died July 27, 1995.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas A. and Margaret Fessler of Dow and Kenneth E. and Judith Fessler of Godfrey; six grandchildren, Mrs. Clifford (Kimberly) Hyman of Brighton, Melinda Fessler of Brighton, Timothy Fessler and his wife, Nicole, of Fosterburg, Tamara Yogore of Godfrey, Jeff Fessler and his wife, Karen, of Godfrey and Jacob Fessler of Alton; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lester and joseph both of Godfrey
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Margaret McKee and two brothers, Allen McKee and Louis "Bub" McKee.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Gent Funeral Home in Alton, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Orrin Anderson will officiate.
Burial will be at . Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey Memorials may be made to Robings Manor in Brighton - - Alton Telegraph March 17, 1997
