Julius Ceylon Swift was born on May 15, 1792 at Warren, Litchfield, Connecticut. He was the son of Lt. Nathaniel Swift, Jr. and Sarah.

Julius had 3 wives and 22 children.

Julius married Betsey Salina Bates, daughter of Isaac Bates and Submit Dean, on Dec. 13, 1815 at Congregational Church, Warren, Litchfield, Connecticut.

Julius married Laura Shove, daughter of Seth Shove and Patience Barber, on Feb. 28, 1822 at Warren, Litchfield, Connecticut.

Julius married Lydia Hawkins, daughter of George Washington Hawkins and Avis Sheldon, in Jan. 1840 at Hartwick, Otsego, New York.

Julius C. Swift died on May 5, 1876 at Edinboro, Erie, Pennsylvania, at age 83. Julius was buried at Edinboro Cemetery, Edinboro, Erie, Pennsylvania.

He and Laura Shove removed to at a 100 acre farm, Burlington, Otsego, New York, circa 1828. Julius C. Swift resided at at Summit Twp., Erie, Pennsylvania, in 1844. He resided at at Edinboro, Erie, Pennsylvania, on 23-Aug-1860.
