About Karl Linde
- Karl Linde, born on 4 June 1848 in Wolmarshof in Latvia, graduated from the Parochial Teacher Seminary in Walk (Valka) in 1871. He was then a teacher in the Deaf and Dumb School/Institute in Kirchholm (Salaspils) near Riga and then director of this same institution in 1873 when it moved to the neighbourhood of the town of Mitau (Jelgava). On 19th August 1881 he became a teacher of calligraphy in the Petri School.(in St Petersburg)
