Karl Mölder (21 January 1899 )was an Estonian geologist who was a soil geologist from 1946 to 1966. He was one of the most internationally renowned latent connoisseurs. He trained top experts in research in Finland. His students included Risto Tynni and Tuulikki Grönlund.

Mölder studied zoology at the University of Tartu first, and since 1922 he studied botany. He graduated with a Master's degree in 1928. Later in 1942 he received his Doctorate in Berlin from the Friedrich Wilhelms Universität and in 1944 from the University of Helsinki.

Mölder moved to Finland in 1935 and was granted asylum in Finland in 1948.
