A son Josef, born in 1901, is listed in the Police register. That is impossible. In 1901 Karla was only 11 years old and her husband Arthur 12 years old.

In one document the marriage date between Viktor and Karla is given as March 28, 1922 and in another as October 6, 1918. In a third document the date in March is indicated only as the date of issue of a marriage certificate. Son Miroslav was already born on September 9, 1919, so marriage is unlikely until 1922.

Change of name from Karpeles to Kárný was granted in May 8, 1919.
