In one document the marriage date between Viktor and Karla is given as March 28, 1922 and in another as October 6, 1918. In a third document the date in March is indicated only as the date of issue of a marriage certificate. Son Miroslav was already born on September 9, 1919, so marriage is unlikely until 1922.

Change of name from Karpeles to Kárný was granted in May 8, 1919.
