Vermilion News, June 29, 1933 Mrs. George HOLL of Ohio St. whose serious illness was mentioned last week died early Friday morning after an illness of two weeks. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Reformed church, attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. The W. B. A. of which she was a charter member, attended in a body. Burial was made beside her husband in Maple Grove cemetery. Katherine Elizabeth LAPP was born in Germany, the eldest of nine children, and migrated to this county when four months of age. Her parents located in Brownhelm, where she grew into young womanhood. At the age of seventeen she united in marriage with Mr. George Holl and located their new home on Douglas St; later bought the home from which both departed this life. They were great homelovers and constituted a happy home. Mrs. Holl was a charter member the W. B. A. and member of the Reformed church. Ever since then it was her wish that she might depart and be with him. She leaves her five children to mourn her departure, Mrs. Edna MINOR, and Mrs. Bertha MILLER of Lorain; Clarence of Cleveland; Fred and Percy of Vermilion; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She leaves three sisters, Anna HEMMINGER of Jackson, Mrs. Sophia BLATTNER, of Cleveland; Irene WEBSTER of Vermilion; five brothers John Lapp of Hubbard Lake, MI. Henry of Elyria; Paul of Cleveland; Adam of Lorain and Zack of Jackson, MI. Four children preceded her in death.
