Biography

Katherine Rector Townes Kate Wildbahn's husband was a Judge and law professor. From 1907 until his death in 1923 he was dean of the School of Law at the University of Texas. Townes Hall, a law building on the UT campus, is named for Judge Townes. She was busy socially with Junior League and various charities. She changed moved her membership from Episcopalian to The University Baptist Church.





Katherine Rector Townes was born on January 17, 1853, in Jackson County, Alabama, USA. Her parents were Isaac Wildbahn and Ann Druscilla Wildbahn.

Katherine married John Charles Townes, Sr in 1872. Together they had the following children:
