Katie E. Miller

MILLERSBURG -- Katie E. Miller, 95, 3555 Township Road 406, Millersburg, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at 1:45 a.m. at her home after a period of declining health.

Born Jan. 28, 1922, in Holmes County, she was a daughter of the late Eli J. and Mahala (Yoder) Miller.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are half-sisters, Clara (Enos) Raber and Sarah Barkman, both of Sugarcreek and Ada (David E.) Hershberger of Holmesville; half-brothers, Monroe E. Miller and Joe E. (Anna) Miller, both of Millersburg; 43 nieces and nephews; and her caregivers, Melvin D. and Sara Ann Miller of Millersburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half-brother, Daniel E. Miller; a sister, Mattie Miller; two nieces and a nephew.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at 9 a.m. at the Melvin D. Miller residence, 3557 Township Road 406, Millersburg, with Bishop Eli N. Hershberger officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Walnut Creek Township. Friends may call anytime at the Melvin D. Miller residence. Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek, is handling arrangements.
