Kenelm Baker, born March 23, 1657, was the son of Samuel and Eleanor (Winslow) Baker.

He married Sarah, daughter of Deputy Gov. William Bradford's oldest sone and his wife Alice Richards, and granddaughter of Gov. Wm. Bradford and his wife Mrs. Alice Southworth, whose family was Carpenter.

Their children were:

  2. Eleanor born Mar. 31, 1692 (married Benj. Philips 1716)
  3. Abigail born Dec. 23, 1693 (married Gideon Thomas 1720/1721)
  4. Kenelm born Nov. 3, 1695 (married Patience Doten of M. at Duxbury Jan 22, 1719)
  5. Bethiah born May 12, 1699 (married Mr. Scolley of Boston)
  6. Keziah born Aug 15, 1701
  7. Samuel born Feb 5, 1703 (married Hannah Ford)

Samuel Baker married 1st Eleanor, aka "Ellen," Winslow on December 29, 1656 in Marshfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony. She was the daughter of Kenelm and Eleanor (Newton) Winslow. Samuel and Eleanor had the following children:

1) Kenelm, b. March 23, 1657-8, m. Sarah Bradford 2) Lydia, b. February 18, 1659-60
3) Elizabeth, b. March 18, 1661-2
4) Alice, b. May 19, 1663
5) Eleanor (1), b. 1665
6) Mary, b. May 9, 1667
7) Child, b. 1669 (pages in vital record too tattered to read)
8) Child, b. 1671 (pages in vital record too tattered to read)
Eleanor passed away at age 39 on August 27, 1676. [Note: Some sources provide that this was the date of her burial and not the date of her death.]

In Marshfield on Feb. 21, 1677/8, Samuel married 2nd Mrs. Patience (Barstow) Simmons (widow of Moses Simmons of Scituate). Samuel had three (3) additional children with Patience.
