Favorite Quotes and Sayings

Taken form the book Key and Allied Families "Those who have studied genealogy know that very few families are always great and that most all families are sometimes great. "

In the language of Macaulay, "A people which takes no pride in the noble achievements of remote ancestors will never achieve anything to be remembered by remote descendants". To know that part our ancestors took in the building and sustaining of this free and independent country stimulates us to better and greater work. It creates a loyal pride of ancestry, a pride that develops, fosters and perpetuates the noblest attributes of character, and generations after generations are aroused to nobler endeavor by the contemplation of their forefathers. "No greater calamity can befall a people than to break utterly with their past."'

Points on Family History

Following are some of the surnames in my direct family tree (or branch of the world tree). I will keep adding on to it as I continue in my generational family research. I am researching my direct line ancestors, their additional spouses (if any) and their siblings with spouses as well as adding all the relatives to the tree I find along the way for each generation on my maternal and paternal sides. As you can imagine it takes a lot of time and work. That is a lot of people. My goal is to research each person and find as much information about them as possible to create a Main Profile or MP. Some are easier than others and some there just is not much information to be found about them and never will be, but they still existed.

Surnames - Jackson , Bratton, Jones, Key, Shipley, White, Chambers, Wright, Cecil, Fields, Suttle, Suttles, Settle, Settles, Dixon, Dickson, Dicksen, Bennett, Burnes, Burns, Dickerson, Dickenson, Dickinson, Wilson, Winery, Young, Younge, Yong, Yonge, Wallace, Jernigan, Caddell, Miers, Meyers, Harvey, Pharris, Ferris, Farris, Henderson, Head, Boyd, Palmer, Thompson, McMillian, Waddell, Taylor, Boydston, Boydstun, Boylston, Wilkinson, Wilkenson, Wilkerson, Dawson, Dalton, Braden, Gibson, Huey, Hall , West, Smith, Gill

While I am aware that in my family there were slave owners I neither condone, take pride in, nor are responsible for the actions of any other person besides myself. Per my DNA I believe that somewhere I may also have slaves as family members. I am faced with a lot of questions and the answers may never come. I am doing family research to learn the truth about my family whether good or bad. But most the time it is in between.

All About Me

My personal quote (written by me) - I've been through the worst of times and the best of times. I've made the wrong decisions and the right decisions. But every breath and every step I have taken has made me who I am today and I love who I am. I am ME..........(I accept & Love myself as is)

I was born 09/30/1972 which was a Saturday at 12:56 PM. I am an identical twin but unfortunately http:// died the same day we were born. I have one sister and one brother as well. My parents divorced when I was very young and we were raised by my mom Linda Sue Jackson.

My maternal grandparents (Zettie Jones and Nathan Arvil Jones) were a huge part of my life but unfortunately my paternal grandparents I never knew because they had passed away before I was born (Frederick Leo Jackson) and right after I was born (Dixie Dean Jackson). My beloved mom (Linda Sue Jackson) passed away on 09/17/2016 after battling lung cancer. My Father (Jimmy Lynn Jackson) served in the Air Force and he is very interested in family research as well.

I have been fortunate to have loved and been loved many times in my life by incredible people. I lost the love of my life David Charles Diller, at around 1:30 AM 03/22/2018 At Bay Area Hospital in Corpus Christi , Texas. He had just returned home at around 10 pm that night from working offshore as a chef. He passed away suddenly of Asthma Complications, Leaving one less beautiful being in this world. He will be missed.

My favorite foods growing up and still are Tomatoes, Tomato Juice, Broccoli, Green Beans, Spinach, Succotash, Mashed Potatoes, Beef, Chocolate (Not any kind of Chocolate though. I don't like most candy either.),Spaghetti with meat sauce (I love most pasta dishes) and Chicken (thighs and legs are my preference). I could eat shrimp everyday. I absolutely love my Iced Tea. This is only to name a few as there are many more.

An interesting piece of information is I was born with dark brown hair then it turned blonde but as I get older my hair has become darker again. Now my hair is somewhere in between medium brown and dark brown but has a red hue to it. This was the case for my grandmother and my mom as well but the color change progression was not exactly the same for any of us.. It also seems that with each of us the presence of grey (white) hair has become less and less with my grandmother having the most. We also all went through a time in which we looked eerily alike as a child. Another interesting fact is that my eyes change color. My eye color ranges from Blue to Grey to Green and anything in between. I have discovered my emotions can make a difference as well as what I'm wearing (the last part is pretty common though). I was told that it is a trait of some Native American tribes but it is a rare thing. I have been told we descend from Cherokee as well as a Choctaw by multiple people. The person whom I talked to about it said his grandmother had that same trait and she was a Black Cherokee which might explain my unassigned DNA and my African DNA.

My purpose for writing my autobiography here is not in vanity but it is for the practical truth that I am the person that knows myself the best. I expect that when I pass away people might want to add to it and that would be awesome. For I believe that truth should always be told. So I have told my truth.. Never be afraid to tell yours.

Health Conditions

I was already diagnosed with my health conditions except Shingles, Sjogren's, and Fibromyalgia before taking any DNA test. The DNA tests confirmed that I have certain genes relating to certain conditions. I use which tells you a lot more about the genes that you have.

Anemia - Anemia is a condition in which you lack enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to your body's tissues. Having anemia can make you feel tired and weak. There are many forms of anemia, each with its own cause. Anemia can be temporary or long term, and it can range from mild to severe.

Vitamin D Deficiency - Vitamin D deficiency means that you do not have enough vitamin D in your body. Vitamin D is unique because your skin actually produces it by using sunlight.

Shingles (first outbreak 04/2020) - My doctor says it is common for people taking immunosuppressant medication to develop an outbreak of Shingles. Even though I am not 50 yet I can now get the vaccine because I have already had Shingles. I did not know that you could still get the vaccine if you have already had an outbreak. (Update as of 12/19/2020 I have had 4 outbreaks -- at this rate I am never going to be able to get the vaccine because you must wait 60 days after the end your outbreak.)

Rheumatoid Arthritis - I was diagnosed in 2017/2018. Me and doctors have been working to slow it down so there is less damage. So far there is lots of pain but not a lot of damage yet. But my body is still trying to destroy my joints so it's a continuing fight every day. My pain is the worst part of it and I am on pain medicine right now to help me be able to get out of bed and move around as the RA affects most of my joints. Right now, I have only had my ankle joint replaced. I am thankful that I caught it early and have been receiving treatment (at least some kind) for a while now. Also thank God for Touchscreens for those days typing is like a torture session.

Hypothyroidism - I have been living with Hypothyroidism since my early 20s (at least that is when I was diagnosed). I have been taking medicine for it since then. Thyroid Hormone Replacement Therapy helps a lot with the symptoms which include fatigue, intolerance to cold, slow metabolism as well as many more. The Thyroid Gland and its hormones effect many of the body's organs including the heart.

Hashimoto's Thyroiditis - I was diagnosed with this autoimmune disorder at the time I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. Inflammation from Hashimoto's disease, also known as chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, often leads to an underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism). Hashimoto's disease is the most common cause of hypothyroidism. It primarily affects middle-aged women but can also occur in men and women of any age and in children. Hashimoto's disease typically progresses slowly over years and causes chronic thyroid damage, leading to a drop in thyroid hormone levels in your blood. I believe as a child I had Hyperthyroidism (Graves' Disease) due to the symptoms I had (of which extreme intolerance to heat being the most notable). It is accepted as being true by myself and my family, even though I was never diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism (Grave's Disease) by a doctor, due to mine and my family's experiences and observations regarding me and my body growing up. In the 1980s they did not really test a lot (if any) for thyroid disorders, nor did they know as much about them as is known today.

Hypertension - I have only had this since my mid-forties and it is controlled with medication. My blood pressure however also sometimes will go too low (Hypotension) as well as too high (Hypertension).

Carpel Tunnel Syndrome (Both Hands/Wrists) - I was diagnosed with this sometime in my thirties not sure exactly when. In 2018, I had surgery on both hands/wrists and so far, have not had any more issues. Diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and thyroid gland imbalance are conditions that are associated with carpal tunnel syndrome.

Kidney Stones - I have had more than eight kidney stones in my life thus far (sorry I stopped counting). I have taken several 24-hour urine tests. (You carry a large jug with you all day to use when you must urinate). This tells the doctors much more than a single Urinalysis. My most recent test 05/17/2020 and it was the same as all the others. According to the tests my Calcium, Sodium, Oxalate and Uric Acid levels are all high and they all can cause kidney stones. I was not taking Calcium Supplements to explain the high Calcium level, I don't eat a lot of salt in my diet and my blood sodium is always on the low end of normal so this does not explain the high Sodium level, now Oxalate might be explainable cause I eat a lot of food Items that are listed as high in Oxalate (Dark leafy green vegetables, Beans, Tomatoes (Moderate), Chocolate and Tea) This statement has been on all the tests regarding high Uric Acid level

"Urine uric acid excretion remains severely elevated and can promote calcium oxalate stones. Hyperuricosuria almost always arises from high intake of animal protein that contains purines from DNA and RNA in tissues. Protein intake is not high enough to explain persistent hyperuricosuria; PCR is less than 1.3 (0.8 g/kg/d) and urine sulfate excretion is less than 70 (30 meq/d). Consider unusual high purine food sources such as nuts and seed products. Medical nutritionist help might be of value in this unusual situation. Rare hereditary causes of uric acid over production need consideration, as do states of increased DNA turnover from cell proliferation (e.g., psoriasis, lympho-proliferative and Myeloproliferative states). Our records do not report that allopurinol has been prescribed. Diet changes are ideal for treating hyperuricosuria, but if stones are clinically significant consider allopurinol since hyperuricosuria can promote calcium oxalate stones"

I do not eat enough meat to account for it being as high as it is. I also rarely eat nuts and/or seeds. My blood does not have a high level of Uric Acid which is found in Gout. My thought is it might be caused by hereditary causes as it states but so far, no doctor has taken any steps to find out why except prescribe Hydrochlorothiazide and Alfuzosin HCL ER. They flush out (promotes emptying) my kidneys and my bladder respectfully. They have been effective it seems for the most part.

Vasculitis - It is a term for a group of rare diseases that have in common inflammation of blood vessels. These vessels include arteries and veins. There are many types of vasculitis, and they may vary in symptoms, severity, and duration. Most types of vasculitis are rare, and the causes are not known. Vasculitis affects persons of both sexes and all ages. I was diagnosed by having a Biopsy—surgical removal of a small piece of tissue for inspection under a microscope of the area that was affected. Vasculitis is also associated with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Cancer and Lupus.

Appendectomy - Had multiple attacks but doctors did not know what it was and kept telling me that it was probably a kidney stone (they knew I have a history of kidney stones) until I was fed up and told the emergency room doctor that "it is not a kidney stone, you are talking to a person that has had over 8 so I know what they feel like". They looked at my CT scan again and came back saying it was Appendicitis After the operation the doctor confirmed that I have had multiple attacks due to the scar buildup which he said was significant. Oh, and I drove myself to the hospital. (I have a high tolerance to pain).

Fused Cervical Discs - I have hardware in my cervical spine due to a herniated disc that was pinching the nerves running down both arms/shoulders.

Total Ankle Joint Replacement - This is something that is necessary for some people that have Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and for other reasons that the joint has become damaged to the point that it causes more pain and affects your daily activities. I had my right ankle joint replaced.

Bilateral (both eyes) Posterior Subcapsular Cataracts - starts as a small, opaque area that usually forms near the back of the lens, right in the path of light. A posterior subcapsular cataract often interferes with your reading vision, reduces your vision in bright light, and causes glare or halos around lights at night. The doctor says they are not that bad yet and were caused by me having to take prednisone for so long. But the benefits for me outweigh the risk or at least the consequences. These types of cataracts tend to progress faster than other types do. Https://

Sjogren's - Sjogren's (SHOW-grins) syndrome is a disorder of your immune system identified by its two most common symptoms — dry eyes and a dry mouth. The condition often accompanies other immune system disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. In Sjogren's syndrome, the mucous membranes and moisture-secreting glands of your eyes and mouth are usually affected first — resulting in decreased tears and saliva.

Superficial Perivascular Dermatitis with Purpura and Hemosiderin Compatible with Pigmented Purpuric Dermatitis - Definition: Chronic purpuric skin disorders characterized by macules, patches and petechiae on a brown, red or yellow base resulting from hemosiderin deposition of erythrocyte extravasation.
Essential features: 1) Chronic purpuric skin disorders 2) Perivascular lymphocytic infiltrate along with endothelial cell damage and erythrocyte extravasation 3) Variable pigmentation resulting from the hemosiderin deposition.

Fibromyalgia (Diagnosed 2020) - Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory, and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain and spinal cord process painful and nonpainful signals.

Symptoms often begin after an event, such as physical trauma, surgery, infection, or significant psychological stress. In other cases, symptoms gradually accumulate over time with no single triggering event.

Women are more likely to develop fibromyalgia than are men. Many people who have fibromyalgia also have tension headaches, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, and depression.

Panic Disorder - A panic attack is a sudden episode of intense fear that triggers severe physical reactions when there is no real danger or apparent cause. Panic attacks can be very frightening. When panic attacks occur, you might think you're losing control, having a heart attack, or even dying.

Many people have just one or two panic attacks in their lifetimes, and the problem goes away, perhaps when a stressful situation ends. But if you've had recurrent, unexpected panic attacks and spent long periods in constant fear of another attack, you may have a condition called panic disorder.

Sleep Apnea - Sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts. If you snore loudly and feel tired even after a full night's sleep, you might have sleep apnea. The main types of sleep apnea are: Obstructive sleep apnea, the more common form that occurs when throat muscles relax.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) - Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder common among women of reproductive age. Women with PCOS may have infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods or excess male hormone (androgen) levels. The ovaries may develop numerous small collections of fluid (follicles) and fail to regularly release eggs.

  • Texas Births, 1926 - 1995 MyHeritage Birth records represent one of the key primary sources for family information, typically being issued within days of a birth and containing the parents' names at a minimum. Many times they contain additional parental details including places of birth, ages, number of children and religious affiliation for baptism and christening records.
