Knud Amundsen Slaastuen, II

Knud Amundsen, the third child born to Amund Johannessen (originally from Vatterland under Groupe) and Mari Knudsdatter Groupe, was born 4 May 1847 on Slaastuen under Nedre Groupe (now called Slåstugu, at 61.55361, 9.50069) in Kvikne, Nord-Fron, Oppland County, Norway. He was baptized 24 May 1847 at the Kvikne church in Nord-Fron, with godparents: Torger Groupe, Poul Slaaen, Erland Hage, Rønnaug Groupe, and Oline Groupe. He was vaccinated 12 Dec 1851. Knud was confirmed 2 Jun 1861 at the Sødorp church in Nord-Fron (confirmations are often not at the person's usual church), where he was rated good in Christianity knowledge and very good in diligence.
