Death certificate said buried in Manitoba, but there is a stone here near his son Carl, this is for Kolbjorn Knudtson of Drammen twshp, EC County, WI

Possibly Born Olaf Kolbjorn Knutson or Kaalbjorn Olaf Knutson. Found some records indicating Olaf as middle or first given name, but he went by Kaalborn.

He emigrated to US with his parents from Norway to Drammen, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

He was married to Thuri Jorgensdatter in 1881, she died in 1890 in Drammen WI. They had two children who lived beyond infancy, Carl J. "Charlie" Knutson and Clara Elene Knutson Barness of Maryfield, Sask, Canada

In 1891 he married Severine Olson, also from the Drammen area. They had five more children four born in the Drammen, WI area and moved to Canada about 1907. The last child, a daughter must have been born in Canada. Children were: Oscar, Anna, Olaf, Torvald and (Mrs. John Boyde)

Severina is buried with four of her children in St. Thomas Cemetary in Litchfield, Barnes Co. ND

1. Carl J. Knutson b. 1884- d. 1953, Maryfield, Sask., Canada, married Myrtle Blomquist Knutson (she from rural EC as well) b. 1888. They are buried in same Canadian cemetary verified by Village of Maryfield email on 12/31/13.

2. Clara Elene Knudtson Barness b. 24 Aug 1886 d. 1959 (married Harry Barness and later his brother, Martin Julius Barness, second husband), she died in Maryfield, Sask, the Barness originally lived in EC area as well.

3. Oscar Martinus Knudtson b. Dec. 9, 1894 in Drammen Township, 11/6/1965 burial in St Thomas Cemetary, Litchfield, Barnes Co. ND

4. Anna Matilde Knutson Aug 28, 1897 d. 3/10/1982. Lived with her brother Torvald, she never married. Buried in St. Thomas Cemetary.

5. Olaf Anton Knudtson b. Nov 25, 1899 in Drammen Township, Eau Claire Co. Wisconsin. D 7/22/1944, burial in St. Thomas Cemetary, Litchfield Barnes Co, ND (grave stone says 1900)

6. Thorvald 2/28/1893- d.2/11/1983, died Oakes, Dickey ND, buried in St. Thomas, Litchhfield, Barnes Co. ND

7. Agnes Bernetta Knudtson, Aug 4, 1897, later Mrs. John Boyd of Washington DC
