About Lady Anne Gorges
John Howard, married Katherine Moleyns, daughter of William Moleyns, by his wife, Margery. They had two sons, Thomas, and Nicholas, and four daughters, Isabel, Anne (wife of Edmund Gorges), Margaret, and Jane (wife of John Timperley). [2]
Lady Gorges, was the widow of Sir Edmund Gorges of Wraxhall, son of Walter Gorges, by Mary, daughter and heir of William Oldale. In the published pedigrees of the Gorges family, Sir Edmund is stated to have married once only, namely to Ann daughter of John, Lord Howard. But that on his death on the 30th April, 1511, he left surviving Joan his widow, is clear. After his death she married Simon Littlecote, and she died on the 24th June, 1524.The inquisition taken after her death for the county of Somerset states that she was a daughter and heir of Thomas Coppleston.
Lady Anne Gorges was buried All Saints Churchyard Wraxall, Somerset, England. [1]
