8 July 1636: Libel and summons in action at the instance of James, Lord Ogilvy of Airlie, against the tenants of the barony of Gight in terms of assignation, dated 9 July 1633, by Patrick Maull of Panmuir to him of the escheat of Sir George Gordon of Gight, granted to said Patrick in gift under the privy seal dated 14 December 1631. 9 March 1636. Letters of arrestment at the instance of said Lord Ogilvie against the said Sir George. 18 March 1636. With execution dated 20 April 1636. Procuratory by said Lord Ogiluy to Thomas Vrquhart, servitor to Patrick Vrquhart of Lethindy, to take possession of the dwelling place of Gight and its pertinents. Forther, 2 July 1636. Notarial instrument narrating that said Thomas took possession by putting from the house Lady Elizabeth Ogiluie, spouse of said Sir George, Marie Gordoun, her husband's sister, James Gordoun apparent of Gight, pupil, [blank] Gordon, his sister and Jean Leslie, servitrix there and by locking all the doors.
