Rabbi Leibel Leon Leif Baumatz was born in Lodz, Poland to Yisrael Dawid and Pesia/Braindla nee Lasman. He was a torah scholar/rabbi and married to Lea nee Horovitz. Prior to WWII he lived in Krakow, Poland. During the war he was in Krakow, Poland.
