Laurits Ludvigsen Dypvik

Laurits Ludvigsen Dybvika was born on April 16th, 1848, in the island of Storfosna in the municipality of Orland, Sor-Trondelag county, Norway. He was the son of [Peter] Ludvig Paulsen and Lydia Mortensdatter. Laurits was baptized on June 25th, 1848, in Orland church. His godparents were: John Olsen Storfosna; Olaus Olsen Storfosna; Mortinus Mortensen Leksa; Paulina Paulsdatter Storfosna, and Ane Arntsdatter Storfosna.

In 1865, the head of the household and tenant farmer [Peter] Ludvig Paulsen and his wife, Lydia Mortensdatter, lived together with their four children in the rural residence of Dybmyr on the island of Storfosna. They had another child in their care that was not their own, but that was a blood relative. The child's name was Lovise [Soffie] Johnsdatter, . She was born in 1859 in the municipality of Orland. Lovise was the daughter of Ludvig's sister Pauline Paulsdatter. Pauline had died of illness, and Pauline's husband, John Olsen had decided on placing his daughter in the care of his brother-in-law.

Laurits and Lydia had the following children:

Martin Ludvigsen, b. 1845 in Orland.

Laurits Ludvigsen, b. 1848 in Orland.

Anton Ludvigsen, b. 1851 in Orland.

In 1875, the head of the household, a tenant farmer and fisherman Ludvig Paulsen and his wife, Lydia Mortensdatter, lived in the rural residence of Dybmyhr on the island of Storfosna, together with their sons, Laurits and Anton Ludvigsen. Like their father, Laurits and Anton were both also fishermen, and helped their parents.

Ludvig and Lydia had two foster children; Jakob Pedersen, born in 1862 in Orland and Martin Sivertsen, born in 1869 in Orkdal, Sor-Trondelag county, Norway.

Ludvig's niece, Lovise [Soffie], lived and worked as a servant in Ludvig's household.

The seaman, [Paul] Joakim Johnsen, born in 1853 in Orland, which was Lovise's brother, was a visitor at Djupmyra at the time. He lived in the municipality of Orland.

Laurits got married to Kristine Boletta Benjaminsdatter on May 21st, 1876, in Vaernes church in the municipality of Agdenes in Sor-Trondelag county. Kristine was born on February 12th, 1853, in the rural residence of Holten in Orland in Sor-Trondelag county. The groomsmen at their wedding were: Benjamin Mortensen Dybvika and Ove Olsen Beian(?).

In 1891, the farmer and salmon fisher Laurits Ludvigsen and his wife, Boletta Bejaminsdatter, lived together with their five children in the rural residence of Dybvik in Agdenes in Sor-Trondelag. The widow, Lydia Mortensdatter, lived with his son's family.

Laurits and Boletta had the following children:

Lydia's brother and Laurits' father-in-law, Benjamin Mortensen, b. 1823 in Orland, lived in the rural residence of Dybvik, and was the head of the second (and separate) household. He lived together with his wife, Marta Estensdatter, b. 1826 in Orland. Benjamin was a fisherman by trade.

In 1900, the head of the household and fisherman Laurits Ludvigsen, and the fisherman's wife, Boletta Benjaminsdatter, lived together with their seven children in the rural residence of Dybvik in Agdenes. Boletta's mother, Marta Estensdatter, rented a room or place to stay in Dybvika from Laurits and Boletta.

In 1910, the farmer and fisherman Laurits Ludvigsen, and the farmer's wife, Boletta Benjaminsdatter, lived at Dybvika farm in Agdenes, Sor-Trondelag. On the farm, lived the following of their children:

Paul Lauritsen, b. September 18th, 1891, in Agdenes. Occupation: fisherman.

Anna Lauritsdatter, b. February 14th, 1894 in Agdenes. Occupation: maid.

Arne Meier Lauritsen, b. July 29th, 1897 in Agdenes.

Laurits and Belotta's two grown-up sons, Bernt and Helmer Lauritsen, were listed by name in the census 1910 for Agdenes together with their parents and three siblings, as mentioned above. However, they were not present at the rural residence of Dybvika. Bernt and Helmer were absent, and were presumed to have their home in North America. Both of them were lumber mill workers.

Laurits Ludvigsen Dypvika ble født 16. april 1848 på øya Storfosna i Ørland prestegjeld, Sør-Trøndelag. Han var sønn av innersten [Peter] Ludvig Paulsen og kona Lydia Mortensdatter. Laurits ble døpt 25. juni 1848 i Ørland kirke. Fadderne var: John Olsen Storfosen; Olaus Olsen Storfosen; Mortinus Mortensen Lexen; Paulina Paulsdatter Storfosen og Ane Arntsdatter Storfosen.

Lovise var datteren av Peter Ludvigs søster Pauline Paulsdatter. John Olsens hustru, Pauline, døde av tæring 17. april 1862. John gikk bort i 1866.

Niesen Lovise Johnsdatter var en bodde på Djupmyra og tjente som tjenestepike hos sin onkel Ludvig og tante Lydia.

Den tilreisende og sjøfarende Joakim Johnsen fra Ørlandet, og f. 1853 på Ørlandet, var på besøk på plassen hos Ludvigs familie.

Laurits ble gift med piken Kristine Boletta Bejaminsdatter 21. mai 1876 i Værnes kirke i Agdenes i Trøndelag. Kristine var født 12. februar 1853 i/på Holten (i Ørland). Forloverne i vielsen deres var: Benjamin Mortensen Dybvig og Ove Olsen Beian(?).

Laurits og Bolettas to voksne sønner, Bernt og Helmer Lauritsen, var oppført på plassen Dybvika gård i folketellingen 1910 for Agdenes herred, men de var imidlertid antatt å oppholde seg i Nord-Amerika. Begge brødrene var sagbruksarbeidere av yrke.

Kårkonen og enka Martha Estensdatter losjerte på gården hos datteren Boletta og svigersønnen Laurits.
