About Lawrence Washington, Jr., MP
Lawrence & Aimee's son, Lawrence, married wealthy widow Mary Argall and became the stepfather of her son, Samuel Argall. Samuel became a prominent Sea captain based at Jamestown in Virginia. In 1613 he sailed to trade with the Potomac and found Pocohontas.

"In 1592, Robert Cook, Clarenceux King of Arms confirms upon Lawrence Washington of Sulgrave Manor the current coat of arms."
Which means that Lawrence Washington MP was able to persuade the College of Arms that his line was senior in line of descent from the Wessyngtons of Washington Old Hall, Durham. (Whether there were any other claimants, we do not know.)
