The eldest child of Daniel Miles & Milcah Anne (Maddux) Miles. His first name, Lazarus, after his mother Milcah Anne's father (Lazarus Maddux); First middle name, Henry, after his father Daniel Miles' father (Henry Miles); Second middle name, Maddux, after his mother's maiden name. Lazarus married another Miles, Sarah E. Miles (d/o Samuel Miles, as seen on her death cert.). His occupations include a mariner [1860 census] and later a farmer [1870 census and his death certif.].
