Leah Froelich

Leah Barrus Froelich, age 97, passed away at the Murray Care Center on Sept. 16, 2002.

Born in Grantsville, UT; on Jan. 20, 1905, to Owen Henry Barrus and Mary Ann Hunter. Married Ernest Alvin Froelich in Evanston, WY. July 28, 1927. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Active member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions. Worked as a Pink Lady at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest A. Froelich, Provo; and a son, E. Robert (Sally) Froelich, Salt Lake City.

Survived by a son, Dale J. (Krista) of Murray; brother, Ralph Barrus of Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren: Becky Gorrell, Provo; Jillene (Phil) Turner, Bountiful; Shaun (Bonnie) Froelich, Layton; Kelly (Shauna) Froelich, The Woodlands, Texas; Melissa (Kenneth) James, San Jose, CA; Tawnya (Larry) Roth, U.S.A.F.; Matthew D. (Karla) Froelich, Spanish Fork; Maren (Robert) Wiechert, Magna; Mark (Michelle) Froelich, Park City; David (Jeanette) Froelich, Auburn, Washington; Diane (Kent) Sweat, Hebert City; and Douglas (Janet) Froelich, St. George; 49 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant View 9th Ward, 2445 North 650 East, Provo. A viewing will be held at the Church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.

Interment, Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine, Murray. Services are under the direction of Walker Family Mortuary of Provo.
