Leanna Jones

Leanna Lee,born in 1685, was the daughter of Charles Lee of Cobbs Hall and his wife Elizabeth Medstand. She married William Jones before 1701 / about 1703. He was the son of William Jones (d 1710) and his wife Margaret.

• i. Anne Jones. She married William Nelms 1739, son of William Nelms Sr. and Elizabeth Lattimore. He was born in Northumberland Co. VA, and died 1751 in Northumberland Co. VA. She married Thomas Cottrell.
• ii. Leannah Jones was born 1722 in Cobbs Hall, Northumberland Co. VA. She married Charles Lee III ABT 1745, son of Charles Lee Jr. and Elizabeth Pinckard. He was born 2 Nov 1722 in Cobbs Hall, Northampton, Lancaster Co. VA, and died 1747 in Cobbs Hall, Northumberland Co. VA.
• iii. Elizabeth Jones was born 21 Aug 1707. She married John Bell. He was born 1700.
• iv. Charles Jones was born 17 Jul 1710, and died BEF 9 Jan 1738. He married Elizabeth Heath CAL 1736, daughter of Samuel Heath.
• v. Jemima Jones was born 26 Jul 1720.
• vi. William Jones III was born 12 May 1723, and died AFT 1749

• W. W. 28 February 1756---W, P. 12 May 1760
• To grandson William Nelms-one feather bed and furniture.
• My will is that my daughter Leanna Lee may have ye priviledge of keeping it or valuing it as she shall think fit and pay
• ye value of it in five years.
• To daughter Leanna Lee-all my estate both real and personal except the feather bed and furniture.
• Witness: Richard Lock and Ezekiel Haydon.

Adm'r etc. of CHARLES LEE Gent. late of this County dec'ed M'r JOHN HARRIS, M'r JAMES WADDY, M'r RICH'D LATTEMORE, M'r BARTHOLL' DAMERON & M'r BARTHOLL' SCHREEVER any four of them are by the Court appointed being sworne by the next Justice sometime before. next Court to meet at the house of the said CHARLES LEE dec'ed & Appraise the said Dec'eds Estate and to divide the same in such Sort that they allott to WILLIAM JONES & LEANNA his wife one of the said dec'eds Daughters her proporc'onable part thereof & to them deliver the same he giveing bond to be Accountable for such proporc'onable part of which just debts are due & justly owing from the said dec'eds Estate to them accrewing & which of Right they to be Answerable for.
