About Lebert Clyde Vandeventer
May 10, 2004 Lebert Vandeventer, 81, of Bloomfield, passed away at 8:55 p.m. on May 7, 2004 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon.
Born March 9, 1923 in Greene County, he was the son of Clarence Edgar and Dona (Flake) Vandeventer. He was married to Lorraine (Fuller) Vandeventer.
He had worked at G.H. Allen Construction as a concrete and drywall finisher. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church and was also an Apostolic minister.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine (Fuller) Vandeventer of Bloomfield; one daughter, Judith A. Correll of Odon; four sons, Jerry W. Vandeventer and Ronald K. Vandeventer, both of Bloomfield, Jerrill D. Vandeventer of Jasper, and Marty D. Vandeventer of Sturgis, Mich.; one brother Otis Vandeventer of Lyons; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James L. Vandeventer in 2001; and six brothers.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Bro. Sam White officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends called from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service today at the funeral home.
