About Lena Kaplan

Lena Kaplan, 75, a founding member of Hadassah, the women’s Zionist organization of America, died yesterday in her Manhattan home.

Mrs. Kaplan was also a member of Hadaassh’s first board of directors. The organization was founded in 1912.

She was the wife of Dr. Mordecai Kaplan, professor of the philosophies of religion at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and rabbi emeritus of the society for the advancement of Judaism.
