Leonard Green was the son of Thomas Greene and Ann Cox.[1] He was BORN in Maryland probably at "Greene's Freehold" abt 1637.[2] He was probably named after Governor Leonard Calvert who was his Godfather.[3][4][5]

He MARRIED Ann Clarke [-?-]. Leonard and his wife Ann were the parents of four children;

  1. Thomas;
  2. Wynyfred (spelling in his WIll) married Francis Wheeler;
  3. Mary married Francis Marbury;
  4. Margaret married Joseph Alvey. [6]

He RESIDED at the home plantation Greene's Rest where he DIED in 1688 in St Mary's City, St Mary's Co., Province of Maryland. [7]
