About Leonardo Herlitzka
Leonardo Herlitzka (Torino 30 novembre 1904 - Torino 20 aprile 1977) si era laureato a Torino in Medicina il 9 luglio 1929 e aveva conseguito la libera docenza in Patologia speciale medica il 20 maggio 1937. Decadde dall’abilitazione alla libera docenza con DM 18 marzo 1939; espatriò con la famiglia a Buenos Aires, dove riprese a svolgere attività scientifica e didattica presso la locale Università. Con DM 5 febbraio 1947, su proposta del Consiglio della Facoltà di Medicina di Torino, gli venne confermata la libera docenza.

He had arrived to Buenos Aires on June 26, 1939, on board at the Alsina from Marseille ( France) . His parents and brothers had arrived before to Argentina.
He was married with a french/sirian women born at Cairo in Egypt, her name was Simone ( or Simona) but that marriage didn’t last. They have arrived together in Argentina.
By 1940 he was working at the Instituto Massone , a high innovative medical laboratory in Buenos Aires.
By 1941 he is recorded as doing a postgrade as a doctor at the Facultad de Ciencias Medicas of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata ( La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina)
He returned to Turin in Italy with his family after the war finished.
