He was the first born of Julius and Helene.
In 1880 he lived with his sister Eszter & brother-in-law Leopold Weil and his brother George. They were not religious at all. Most of their children and their offspring either belonged to a reform Temple or nothing at all. All of the children, and grandchildren had absolutely no religious upbringing.

According to the 1920 Census, he immigrated in 1877 (same as above), was naturalized in 1882. It also listed that he was born in Grossverdein and that his father was also from Grossverdein.
According to the 1930 Census, he and his wife were born in Czechoslovakia.
He died at home and was a widower at the time of his death. Funeral Service was held at Deutsch's Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 7, 1940 at 3:00PM.
Herb Ives remembers that his grandfather died at the age of 94yrs old when he was 7 or 8 yrs old (this would have been about 1935-6).
