Lettice Knollys was daughter of Sir Francis Knollys and his wife, Lettice Barrett.
She married firstly Sir Thomas Vachell of Reading in Berkshire, son of Walter Vachell and his wife, Elizabeth Lee.[1]
Their marriage took place at St Lawrence, Reading on 23 Sep 1616. [2]
After Thomas' death she became the second wife of John Hampden, marrying him on 5 June 1640. [3]No children were born to Lettice and John. Lettice died in 1666. [4]
"Letitia Vachell alias Hampden, Widow of Saint Mary Reading" made her Will on 25th September 1665[5], she died in March 1666 and probate of her Will was granted to Robert Hampden on 22nd May 1666 (not 25th as shown here [6].
