Biography

Denis le Marchant was born circa 1326 in Guernsey. His parents were Lieutenant-Governor Peter le Marchant, Bailiff of the Royal Court and N/n le Marchant (N/n). He was a Lieutenant-Bailiff of Guernsey.

Denis married Janette de Chesney. Together they had the following children: Peter le Marchant, Jurat of the Royal Court.

He died in 1392 in Guernsey.



Denis le Marchant, the second son, was Lieutenant-Bailiff to his brother, and died in 1392, having married Janette de Chesney, by whom he left issue two sons, Peter le Marchant and Janequin, and one daughter, Michelle (who married Janequin de Plessis). Janequin died an infant.
