About Lieutenant Francis William Talbot Clerke
Lieutenant Francis William Talbot Clerke was born on 6 March 1886. He was the son of Sir William Francis Clerke, 11th Bt. and Beatrice Menzies. He married Albinia Mary Evans-Lombe, daughter of Major Edward Henry Evans-Lombe and Albinia Harriet Leslie-Melville, on 4 October 1911.
He fought in the First World War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards. He died on 26 September 1916 at age 30, killed in action.
